MY STORY
Changqing Luo is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University, a faculty fellow of VCU Cybersecurity Center, and a researcher at Virginia Commonwealth of Cyber Initiative (CCI). Previously, he was a Lecturer in School of Computer Science and Technology at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and a visiting student of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in 2018 and Ph.D. degree in Communication and Information System from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in 2011.
Dr Luo's research focuses on the cybersecurity and wireless communication networks, including security in artificial intelligence (AI), privacy-preserving computations, 5G, and wireless networks. He has published more than 60 papers in prestigious conferences and journals. His work has been highly recognized with several awards, including the Best Journal Paper Award from the Big Data Technical Committee, IEEE Communication Society, 2020, Best Application Award from PAKDD’18, and Best Paper Award from IEEE DASC’17, EAI ChinaCom’14, and IEEE GreenCom’13.
